The pros went low on Thursday, but not so much on Friday. Let’s take a look and see who will be moving on in Illinois this weekend.

Most of golf’s biggest names are resting, injured or on their way across the pond to get used to the climate and playing in conditions in Scotland. On July 11, some of golf’s top players will compete in the Scottish Open and we’ll see Rory McIlroy as he comes back after his disappointing finish at the US Open. But, let’s focus on the guys sweating it out in Illinois this weekend.

With such low scores on Thursday, mainly due to soft conditions at TPC Deere Run, players were expected to do the same on Friday, but well protected pin positions made that a little more complicated.

What’s the cut line at the John Deere Classic?

The cut line ended up at 5-under par (-5). The top 65 players and ties will make it into the weekend as well as those who are within 10 shots of the leader. Jordan Spieth finished at 6-under par and has made it into the weekend.
