“The Argentinian will undergo a surgery at Baptist Health in the coming weeks and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.”
Introduced as a half-time substitute in the 0-0 draw in San Salvador, Farías was stretchered off with 20 minutes remaining after receiving a heavy challenge from El Salvador’s Darwin Cerén.

Herons lose key player ahead of busy 2024
As Miami prepare for a season in which they will be competing on four fronts – MLS, CONCACAF Champions Cup, Leagues Cup and US Open Cup – the loss of Farías is a significant blow to boss Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino.
Signed by Miami in July 2023, the 21-year-old was set to play a major role for the Floridians this season, after scoring three goals and supplying two assists in 13 appearances in his debut campaign for the franchise.
When is Inter Miami’s next game?
Inter Miami, whose MLS season begins against Real Salt Lake on 21 February, take on FC Dallas in their second preseason friendly on Monday 22 January.
