The main event this Saturday at UFC Fight Night is a women’s bantamweight clash featuring USA’s Holly Holm and Brasil’s Ketlen Vieira.
Holm is looking to become a two-time women’s bantamweight champion this weekend as she takes on Vieira in Las Vegas.
The 40-year-old won the 135-pound title at UFC 193, with a second-round knockout of Ronda Rousey. Since then, Holm hasn’t been able to outdo herself, but she’s gotten back to winning consecutive fights over Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana, respectively.
The Brazilian, on the other hand, has had her biggest victory recently, defeating former bantamweight titlist, Miesha Tate, who is also one of Women’s MMA biggest names. The 30-year-old began her career 10-0, but hasn’t been very consistent, going 2-2 in her last four.
The winner of this bout is set to challenge the winner of the Julianna Pena-Amanda Nunes rematch that will take place in the summer.
The Holm vs. Vieira main card starts at 7 p.m. ET. Holm and Vieira are expected to make their cage walks at 9:30 p.m. ET, but it all depends on how long the undercard bouts last.
